Privacy policy

This app reads shop content to check environmental claims. It stores its results inside your own shop, and it does not collect personal or customer data. This page states exactly what is read, what is kept, and where.

The Shopify app

EU Green Claims Fix & Proof reads product titles and descriptions and shop pages through the Shopify Admin API, under the read_products and read_content scopes. It does not request or receive customer data.

  • What is stored, and where: scan verdicts are cached in an app-owned metafield inside your shop, so repeated scans return consistent results. Nothing is stored on our servers. Uninstalling the app deletes this data, as Shopify removes app-owned metafields on uninstall.
  • Third-party processing: flagged text excerpts from your product descriptions and pages are sent to Anthropic (Claude API) to assess the wording in context and propose rewrites. These excerpts contain shop content, not customer data.
  • Mandatory privacy webhooks: the app implements Shopify's customers/data_request, customers/redact and shop/redact webhooks. Since no customer data is collected, there is nothing to export or erase; the endpoints acknowledge each request.

The free website scanner

The public scanner on this site fetches the page you submit through a crawling provider (Firecrawl), analyses its text, and returns the result to your browser. Submitted addresses are not linked to any account and are not used for marketing.

greenclaimsproof.com and umweltwerbung.de set no cookies, run no advertising trackers and use no analytics scripts. Standard server logs are kept by our hosting provider (Vercel) for operations and security.
